Turkmenistan's state budget revenues fulfilled at 112.7 per cent

According to preliminary data, for the first two months of 2012, the revenue part of the state budget of Turkmenistan has been fulfilled by112.7 per cent with expenditure by 95.1 per cent, the Turkmen Ministry of Finance announced.

According to preliminary data, for the first two months of 2012, the revenue part of the state budget of Turkmenistan has been fulfilled by112.7 per cent with expenditure by 95.1 per cent, the Turkmen Ministry of Finance announced.

As reported previously, the Turkmen Majlis (parliament) adopted the Law 'On the State budget for 2013' according to which budget revenues were 86,335.8 million manat and expenses 89,735.8 million manat. In recent years, the official rate of the manat to one dollar remained at 2.85.

Revenues are derived from industries such as oil and gas, chemical, power generation and construction. Provisions for the sustained development of the agricultural, transport, telecommunications and textile and food industries are also considered in the budget.

It is expected that revenues will continue to grow due to further development and support of enterprises with non-public forms of property.

A significant increase of allocations are budgeted for in the construction of new areas in the national tourist zone of Avaza and matters of socio-cultural significance, as well as industrial and transport and communication infrastructure in the capital and all regions of the country.
