By the end of the month the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) of Azerbaijan will begin sending letters with information about assets in individual accounts in the social insurance system, Chairman of SSPF Salim Muslimov told journalists on Wednesday.
The letters with the information on the assets of individual accounts as of January 1, 2013 will be sent to all citizens with that type of account.
"Due to some technical problems there were delays that have now been eliminated. In the coming days we will begin sending letters and complete this process within a month," Muslimov said.
There are 2,427,089 individual social insurance accounts in Azerbaijan as of April 1, 2013, which is 7.1 per cent more than at the beginning of the year.
"According to the data of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies for the first quarter of 2013, SSPF's 4 e-services are leading among the top 10 by the number of requests and 20,000 people applied to the Fund for these services during three months. This is a serious figure compared to the applications for other services, but the current results do not satisfy us, as only about 2.5 million people have individual accounts," Muslimov said.
