As part of clearing operations in January-March 2013, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has issued notes to the sum of 252.6 million manat, of which notes worth 164 million manat were placed and put up for auction, according to a report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) on monetary policy in the first quarter of 2013.
'The average yield on the notes was at 1.22 per cent at the last auction, whereas at the beginning of the year this figure was at 1.76 per cent', the report said.
As of April 1, the volume of notes in circulation amounted to 44 million manat. The volume of repo-transactions with the notes amounted to 11 million manat by the end of the quarter.
The official exchange rate on May 20 is 0.7847 AZN / USD.
