A record number of tourists visited Turkey's costal resort city Antalya during the past 10 years, the Mediterranean Tourist Hotel Association said today.
According to the report, the number of tourists visiting Antalya increased by 11.2 percent to 2.667 million for the period from January to May 2013.
According to the information, most of the 688,000 tourists were Russian, which indicates a 25 percent increase.
According to the report, around 1.296 million tourists visited Antalya in 2011, while 2012 brought 1.219 million.
According to the report, some 1.5 billion Turkish lira were put towards the development of the country's tourism sector this year.
The official exchange rate is 1,18745 TL/USD on June 5.
