Azerbaijan, Baku, August 2 / Trend /

From August 1 "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC introduces new regulations of transportation of pregnant women, parturient women, and newborn babies, AZAL said today.

From now on, it is up to the pregnant woman to decide, proceeding from her own state of health and the state of health of the child, whether she can use the airline service and determine the possible health risks involved at the time of air travel.

The following may not be accepted for air travel with CJSC "Azerbaijan Airlines":

-pregnant women beyond 32 weeks of pregnancy;

-parturient women within 7 days of delivery.

Newborn babies older than 7 days may be accepted for air travel with CJSC "Azerbaijan Airlines" only if accompanied by the mother, father or an adult passenger responsible for the child.

In case of the pregnant women over 26 weeks of pregnancy, (including 32 weeks), the passenger must submit a certificate from her attending physician to an official representative of airlines, which contains the information on the duration of pregnancy and its type (single or multiple) and the absence of pregnancy failures, risk of miscarriage or premature delivery, which would make air travel impossible.

In case of the pregnant women up to 26 weeks of pregnancy, in the event of a possible negative impact on the life and health of women (and the unborn child), is required to get a specific airline consent form to waive any claims against the airline (in the case of confirmation of this result and the reasons for transportation).
