The State Committee on Property Issues of Azerbaijan Republic has released 20-30 per cent of inefficiently used state property facilities, the head of the Department for Internal Audit and Control Committee of the effective use of state property Zulfugar Mansurov said in an interview published in the committee's Dashinmaz Emlak magazine.

As stated in the article, Mansurov leads a commission created to investigate situations relating to the effective use of state properties belonging to departments, agencies and organisations.

The commission worked for six months and during this time monitored 4938 areas in 20 ministries and 21 cities and district bodies of executive power.

The committee revealed 309 violations during monitoring, some 175 of which are related to the illegal use of state property and 134 to seizing state property.

According to the results of commission's work, the State Committee on Property Issues has sent official letters to ministries and the bodies of executive power.

"To date we have received responses on reducing such cases from 18 bodies. This means that 20-30 per cent of inefficiently used entities were released and in 50 per cent of cases the concluding of official rent agreements was provided," Mansurov said.
