Caspian European Transport Club operating within Caspian European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) held a closed meeting on Thursday in Baku, a report of the CEIBC said.

Country manager of ASIA SKY EXPRESS & OCS and Co-President of the Caspian European Transport Club Rashad Abbasov was presiding at the meeting.

Heads of transport companies of Azerbaijan participated in the event. This event was held within the framework of preparation for the meeting of CEIBC member companies with Ministers of Transport, Taxes, Economic Development, Labour and Social Protection, as well as with the management of the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent, State Customs Committee and Milli Majlis (parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Chief Executive Officer of CEIBC Telman Aliyev told the event participants that the discussed problems and ways of their solution will be brought to attention of the heads of the government agencies involved in transport problems of Azerbaijan. He noted that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev repeatedly expressed his support to the development of non oil sector.

Rashad Abbasov said that the problems that are discussed within the framework of Club find their solutions. Therefore it is necessary not only discuss them, but also offer solutions.

Event participants noted that Azerbaijan has high potential as the transit state and it is necessary to create all possible conditions for attracting international companies to transit of goods across Azerbaijan.
