Starting October 1, tariffs for central heating and hot and cold water supply will be increased in Uzbekistan, Uzbek media outlets reported.
According to the report, the tariffs for central heating and hot water supply will be increased by 6.4 percent.
In particular, the monthly tariff for central heating for Uzbek capital's population increased to 705.42 soums from the current 663.05 soums per square meter of living area.
The new tariff for the hot water supply will reach 8827.81 soums per person in the absence of the counter (currently - 8297.58 soums) and 2260.51 soums per cubic meter of water - with payment by counter (previously - 2124.73 soums).
For the residents of dormitories with common bathrooms the tariff will amount to 6567.04 soums monthly per person, against the previous 6172.6 soums.
From October 1 the increase in tariffs of cold water supply in Uzbekistan will amount to 3.5 percent.
For the apartments with a centralized hot water supply the tariff for the use of cold water with a counter will be 266 soums per cubic meter compared to current 256 soums and 2669.98 soums per person monthly - without a counter (previously - 2569.6 soums).
According to the report, the tariff was 193 soums per cubic meter in private sector homes with all modern conveniences, tincluding sewerage (now - 186 soums) and 120 soums - without sewerage (116 soums) and 2283.59 soums per person per month at payment without a counter (2,200.77 soums).
The last time the utility tariffs in Uzbekistan were increased in April 2013.
