The Azerbaijani Finance Ministry announced results of operations of the top ten insurance companies for January-August. Some 83 percent of the total insurance payments accounted for them.
Some 28 insurance companies and one reinsurance company operated in Azerbaijan during that period.

SK Pasa Sıgorta led the ranking on insurance payments as in the previous month, which accounted for almost 23 percent of premiums paid by all companies in January-August. During the reporting period, the company paid 17.54 million manat.
Atəşgah with payments amounted to 9.56 million manat (12.28 percent of all collections of the market) and Azerbaijan Republic State Insurance Commerce Company Azərsığorta - 8.35 million manat ( over 10.72 percent) ranked the second and third respectively.
The total premiums amounted to 265.71 million manat in January-August 2013 (16.1 percent-increase per year) and payments in this period hit 77.85 million manat (32.22 -percent increase).
The Azerbaijani Finance Ministry's report for January to August did not include the figures of the only reinsurance company Az RE.
