Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri held the meetings in Washington.
A Georgian delegation discussed the domestic situation during a meeting with U.S executive director at the International Monetary Fund Meg Lundsager, the Georgian Finance Ministry told Trend on Saturday.
The required actions for the development of the country were also discussed at the meeting.
"There was an interesting meeting," Khaduri said. "The Ministry of Finance together with the Ministry of Economy are actively working on the pension reform. Unfortunately, there is no pension system in accordance with European standards in the country yet. We must pass to a accumulative pension system. We discussed the World Bank's assistance in the implementation of the reform by its advice and human resources for this process to be completed as quickly as possible."
