A Memorandum of Understanding in the field of viticulture was signed in Ganja to develop the Azerbaijani-French economic relations.

A memorandum of understanding in the field of viticulture was signed between businessmen of the two countries within the second International Wine Festival, held in Ganja, to develop the Azerbaijani-French economic relations, regional TV channel Kepez TV said on Saturday.

Head of the Ganja Executive Power Elmar Valiyev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Niyazi Safarov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilham Guliyev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Elchin Amirbeyov, Romanian and Uzbek ambassadors to Azerbaijan and guests, representing France, attended the event. Along with the agreement about growing seedlings of French grape varieties in the village of Mikhailovka in Goygol region, the agreement was made to bake French bread in Goygol.

The relations of twin cities Ganja and Strasbourg and the organization of exhibitions of genius Azerbaijani poets Nizami Ganjavi and Mehseti Ganjavi to be held in November- December were discussed at the event.
