Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Dec.2
By Huseyn Hasanov- Trend:

A supervisory board for selling domestic industrial products abroad has been created in Turkmenistan, Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported on Dec.2.

"This step is a form of state support for the export of industrial goods and has been taken to improve control over the sale of industrial products abroad through exchanges and streamlining of the calculation system," the information said.

A procedure for exchange trading in industrial lots has been approved. There will be made amendments and additions to the relevant legislations accordingly.

The creation of a supervisory system for supporting the export of industrial products is an important measure of state economic regulation, the newspaper said. This will allow a more effective approach for promoting domestic industrial products to foreign markets taking into account the increasing volumes of Turkmenistan's trade turnover and its planned accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

The European Union, represented by the European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso proposed that Turkmenistan joins the WTO in January 2011.

This will increase Turkmenistan's share in regional and global trade and gave a positive impact on economic development, according to Barroso.

After the accession to the WTO, the most favoured treatment by members of the international organisation that offers various economic benefits will be extended to the country.
