British Airways and Elemis will be unwrapping new-look travel spas as well as in-flight amenity kits in Club World, just in time for Christmas.

In addition to the popular menu of massage treatments, the travel spas - which provide a complimentary service in the lounges at Terminal 5 and JFK, will now also offer a range of specialist grooming treatments for both men and women starting in early December, 2013.

Elemis is working with brow experts 'HD Brows', nail professional 'Essie' and grooming guru Richard Anthony to create a bespoke service for British Airways customers to leave them feeling prepped and polished before they fly.

The new pre-flight pampering options will all be offered alongside a selection of indulgent 15-minute minute treatments, all designed to enhance the flying experience, whether that means relaxing or re-energising.

November will also see Elemis unveil a refurbished spa at Terminal 5, with the introduction of new state-of-the-art 3D massage chairs, replicating the hands and techniques of a therapist while customers enjoy treatments focused on their hands, feet or head and shoulder area.

In addition to the new grooming area, the spa itself will receive a facelift with a palette of soothing colours and natural materials. The open-plan layout will incorporate a product zone complete with mirrors, complimentary products for self- treatments and customers will also be able to order products online with a special British Airways discount.

The Elemis experience will continue for customers in Club World with the introduction of a new in-flight amenity bag. The drawstring bag, designed to double up as a shoe or lingerie and underwear bag includes products to refresh, revive and rehydrate, created in travel sizes exclusively for British Airways customers.

Kate Thornton, British Airways' head of product and service said: "Our goal as an airline is always to make flying as relaxing and pleasurable as possible. Our teams have worked hard with the experts at Elemis to create a calming spa environment at Terminal 5, a new range of services and a specialist range of in-flight amenities to help make that a reality."

Sean Harrington, Elemis' managing director said: "We've listened closely to British Airways' customers and designed a unique offer for premium travellers both on the ground and in the air. The British Airways and Elemis brands are both synonymous with luxury and we're extremely proud to be working together."

The in-flight amenity kit for Club World will begin rolling out on British Airways flights from the start of December 2013.
