New joint Kazakh-Turkish plant launched in Kazakhstan

A new joint Kazakh-Turkish plant "Kazakhstan ASELSAN Engineering" was launched in Kazakhstan on Dec. 10, Kazakh Defense ministry reported.

The new plant will produce optical-electronic equipment.

The Defense Ministers of Kazakhstan and Turkey Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and İsmet Yılmaz took part in the opening ceremony.

The joint venture has been created according to the agreement of the heads of both states.

The factory will produce a diverse range of electronic boards used in a lot of different machines (from submarines to space crafts).

At the next stage of the development the facility will produce infrared lenses. The production, processing and coating of infrared lenses will be done at the nano-level.

The plant is going to be the first facility producing such high quality products in the region.
