The total cost of transactions on secondary income carried out by Azerbaijan with foreign countries amounted to $2.3 billion in January- September 2013. Around 51.1 per cent of this amount fell to incoming revenue to the country, according to the balance of payments posted on the website of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
Around 96.1 per cent of the total incoming revenue on secondary income accounts for individuals' money transfers from abroad stood at 1.8 per cent being the cost of humanitarian goods imported into the country and 2.1 per cent other incoming revenue.
In general, the surplus on transactions with the country's secondary income totalled $51.4 million.
