By Elena Kosolapova - Trend: Kazakhstan's national airline Air Astana will receive a new Boeing 767 in May 2014, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported on Feb. 3 with the reference to airlines' head Peter Foster.

"A Boeing 767 will arrive in May 2014. More Boeings are expected in 2017 and in 2019," Foster said at the session in Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications.

Air Astana signed agreement with Boeing Corporation on purchase of three Boeings 767 aircrafts and three aircrafts of Boeings 787-8 Dreamliner brand in Feb. 2012.
The company received two Boeings 767 in 2013 as part of this contract.

Currently the Air Astana's fleet consists of 29 aircrafts, 10 are owned outright and the rest are leased, Foster said.

The average age of the aircrafts is six years. In 2013 the company acquired six new aircrafts and launched eight new routes.
