Azerbaijani insurance company Atasıgorta plans to open two branches in 2014, Atasıgorta chairman of board Museib Aliyev told Trend on Feb. 13.

A branch was opened in Lankaran in 2013. Three more branches restored their activity. Eight representative offices and five sales offices began working. This shows that the company pays great attention to rendering insurance services in the regions.

"This process will be continued," he said. "Now we have five branches, 12 representative offices and five sales offices. We continue the operations in the country's regions. If all goes according to the plan, we plan to open a branch in the northwestern region of the country and one branch in Baku in the second half of the year. We want to cover the entire country."

About 20 percent of the company's fees were obtained through branches, representative offices and sales offices in 2013. In 2013 the company collected premiums to the amount of 12.6 million (16 percent more than in 2012). The payments exceeded three million manat (a 10 percent growth).

Atasıgorta Company has been operating on the Azerbaijani insurance market since 2004. The company renders 22 voluntary and four compulsory types.

The official exchange rate is 0.7844 AZN/USD on Feb. 13.
