The Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sport, the "Coca-Cola" company and "Debate in Civil Society" Public Union signed a memorandum of cooperation in supporting youth entrepreneurship in the country on Feb.18.

The document was signed by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Minister, Intigam Babayev, Coca-Cola Public Relations manager for Caucasus and Central Asia, Oleg Pilecki and the chairman of the "Debate in Civil Society" NGO, Seymur Huseynov during the presentation of the second phase of the Youth Entrepreneurship "Youth Inc".

The memorandum presumes joint development of the "Youth Inc" program, support of young entrepreneurs, as well as the creation of special tools and opportunities for young people in this area.

"The Ministry seeks to contribute supporting of youth initiatives," the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports said. "There are already the first results of this program and we hope that it will be even more fruitful in the future. Thanks to the policy pursued in the country today, numerous projects of various scale are implemented in Azerbaijan."

The implementation of programs, like this, plays a role in the further economic development of Azerbaijan, Babaev believes.

Furthermore, the event presented youthinc.az website, through which young entrepreneurs will be able to share information and present their products and services, as well as share experiences with other businessmen. An educational theme blog will be created in the framework of the portal in the future.

The event also presented the first book on business incubation - "Youth Inc: Creation and development of business incubation program," in the Azerbaijani language dedicated to the issues feasibility study, as well as the creation and management of business incubators.

The "Youth Inc" Program was launched in September 2013. Four business clubs were created as part of the program in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja and Shaki , with an enrollment of about two thousand young people. Seven business projects were created in the first phase of the program, and three young entrepreneurs were able to attract new investment.
