The Macedonian government has announced a tender for the implementation of seven large infrastructure projects in the sphere of transport, construction and tourism, a message posted on the website of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Fund (AZPROMO) on March 10 said.
The mentioned projects are:
- Construction and management of the tram system in the country's capital, Skopje;
- Planning, design, construction and maintenance of gas infrastructure (initially - in the capital, and in the future - in the regions of the country);
- Rendering consultative services to the government of Macedonia in the work on signing agreements on gas infrastructure;
- Construction and management of a multi-sectoral, year-round resort, which includes the territory under the protection of UNESCO;
- Preparation of the concept of hunting lands and areas;
- Construction and management of small hydro-power plants on the rivers of Macedonia;
- Construction of a new Drama Theatre in Skopje.

Trade turnover between the two countries amounted to slightly less than $500,000 in 2013, according to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee.
