The Baku International Sea Trade Port transshipped 1.43 million tons of various types of cargo in January-March, which is 11 percent lower than the same period last year, a source in the port of Baku told Trend on April 4.
In total 6.55 million tons of various types of cargo were transhipped in 2013, which is eight percent more than in 2012.
Some 879,000 tons of goods of the total volume of transshipped port in January-March accounted for ferry cargo, which is 17 percent lower than the same period in 2013, according to the source.
In January-March 2014 dry cargo terminal of the port transshipped 245,000 tons of cargo, which is 12 percent more than the same period last year.
