Kyrgyzstan’s GDP increases by 5.6 percent

In January-March of 2014 Kyrgyzstan’s GDP increased by 5.6 percent compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 67.66 billion soms, according to Kyrgyz National Statistical Committee, Kabar news agency reported on April 9.

In January-March of 2014 Kyrgyzstan's GDP increased by 5.6 percent compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 67.66 billion soms, according to Kyrgyz National Statistical Committee, Kabar news agency reported on April 9.

Excluding enterprises involved in development of Kumtor gold field, the country's GDP has increased by 4.9 percent to 63.43 billion soms.

During first two months of 2014, industrial production grew by nine percent to 34.24 billion soms.

Excluding enterprises of Kumtor gold field development, industrial production increased by 5.1 percent to 20.758 billion soms.

The growth of manufacturing industry in the country amounted to 7.8 percent, agriculture - to 1.2 percent, construction - to 24.
