Cash money supply in Azerbaijan increases by over 12 percent

The money supply in Azerbaijan rose in January-February 2014, by 19.3 percent, compared to the same period of 2013, according to a report from Azerbaijani Central Bank (CBA).

CBA said that as of late February 2014, the money supply rate (M2) (cash in circulation (outside banks) and remainders in the domestic currency on accounts of non-financial organizations, financial (excluding credit) organizations and individuals) was 16.124 million manat versus 13.513 million manat as of late February, 2013.

The amount of cash money supply (M0) increased over the year by 12.41 percent standing at 9.956 million manats against 8.856 million manat in early March 2013.

Broad Money Supply (M3) in January-February 2014, totalled 19.273 million manat or 19.2 percent more, compared to the same period of 2013 (16,160 million manat).

The transaction money (M1) increased by 14.6 percent amounting to 12.351 million manat, compared to 10.771 million manat in late February 2013.
