Georgia exported some 7,020 tons of live cattle worth of $17.96 million to Azerbaijan in January-June 2014, Georgia's National Statistical Service (GeoStat) said in its report.
The share of this category in the total volume of Georgian exports to Azerbaijan was 6.2 percent during the reporting period, according to the report.
The volume of cattle exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan dropped by 15.8 percent or 1,260 tons in the first half of 2014, compared to the same period of 2013.
By comparison, around 8,280 tons of live cattle worth of $21.33 million was exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-June, 2013.
About $290.2 million worth of goods were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in the first half of 2014, which accounts for 20.4 percent of this country's total export volume.
Exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan have dropped by 12.8 percent compared to the same period of 2013. By comparison, some $332.8 million worth of Georgian products were exported to Azerbaijan in Jan.-June 2013.
