Iran has established a trade center in Hungary's capital city Budapest to expand its commercial and economic activities in other countries.

The Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said the decision has been taken to improve services to Iranian traders and merchants with the aim of boosting Iran's non-oil exports to east and central European countries, IRIB reported on August 26.

Iranian industry minister Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh has issued an order for increasing the number of country's commercial centers across the world.

Hamid Reza Zadboom, an official at the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, quoted the industry minister as saying that the issue will help the country boost its economic ties with other countries, Iran's Mehr news agency reported on April 30.

The latest statistics of Iran's customs administration indicates that the country's non-oil trade volume has increased significantly after president Hassan Rouhani took office last August.

Iran's non-oil exports value increased by 0.5 percent during the last Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20) and stood at $41.628 billion, according to the country's customs administration's "complete data" which was made public on April 20.
