Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 May / corr Trend E.Ismayilov, I.Khalilova / The project on the construction of the Trans-Caspian cable for electrity tranist from Kazakhstan or Turkmenistan via Azerbaijan can implemented from technical point of view, Natik Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Minister for Industry and Energy, stated.
"If we want to unite our energy systems and work in parallel regime, indeed, it is very necessary. It is also needed to ensure the energy securuty of the two ocuntries, becuse we have surplus electity and it should be exported,' the minister said.
Azerbaijan proposed on establishment of infrastructure for electricity transit from the Central Asia via the Caspian to Azerbaijan, onwards to Europe. This proposal was made in a meeting of the Energy Committee of CAREC (Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation) program recently held in Baku.
