Europe to have enough gas this winter if Ukraine complies with agreement: Russian president

Russia, Moscow, Dec. 9 / Trend 's special correspondent I. Bragina /

Europe will have enough gas this winter if Ukraine complies with the agreement, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said.

"I think that, in general, if our Ukrainian partners show responsibility, then everything will be fine. Gas, as well as other energy resources, will be enough for Europe," Medvedev said, answering journalists' questions at the European and Asian Media Forum.

Medvedev said he opposes revising gas agreements with Ukraine. But Kiev repeatedly states about the need to revise them.

"I think it is absolutely irresponsible to revise these agreements," the president said.

The European and Asian Media Forum organized by RIA Novosti and held in Moscow brought together heads of famous media outlets from the CIS and Baltic states, politicians and public figures. Over 150 of the world's top media managers participate in it.

Trend Agency is represented by General Director Ilgar Huseynov in the forum.

The forum envisages the opportunity for journalists to communicate broadly with Russian counterparts, heads of Russian state organizations, well-known politicians and public figures.
