OPEC countries commit to prioritizing Indonesia as crude oil receiver: official

Several member countries of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) have committed to prioritizing Indonesia as a crude oil receiver, the detikcom online news quoted an official as saying on Monday, Xinhua reported.
  
"We have talked bilaterally with several oil ministers. We want Indonesia to be prioritized to get crude oil supply," said the Upstream Regulating Agency's Director General of Oil and Gas Evita Herawati Legowo here.
  
According to Evita, the certainty of the crude oil supply is very important for Indonesia as the country will build many refineries.
  
"We need a supply certainty if we build refineries. Besides, we are struggling to get refinery incentives from the finance ministry," she said.
  
However, Evita admitted that in the meeting, Indonesia still had yet to receive certainty on how much crude oil that would be supplied.
  
"We have yet to get the point on how many barrels of oil would be supplied. But, they are committed to prioritizing Indonesia," she said, adding that the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Darwin Zahedy Saleh has met oil ministers from Angola, Qatar, Iraq and Libya.
