The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said Wednesday that the group's oil price fell slightly to 71.94 dollars on the previous day, DPA reported.
OPEC's basket price shed another 0.03 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Tuesday.
The 12 member countries of the Vienna-based cartel produce 34 per cent of the world's crude oil.
