The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) rose past the 75-dollar mark at mid-week, the group said Thursday, DPA reported.
The cartel's basket price reached 75.14 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Wednesday, rising 2.09 dollars from the previous day.
OPEC's 12 member countries produce over a third of global oil supplies.
