The oil price of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) settled at 71.72 dollars at the start of the week, remaining stable after a small increase, according to data published by the group on Tuesday, DPA reported.
The cartel's basket price gained 0.17 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Monday.
OPEC's 12 member countries supply over a third of the world's oil.
