The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) crept above 82 dollars at mid-week, the group said Friday, DPA reported.
The cartel's basket price added 0.18 dollars and settled at 82.01 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Wednesday.
OPEC's 12 member countries produce over a third of global oil supplies.
