The price of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) oil slipped to 72.09 dollars at the end of last week, the group said Monday, DPA reported.
The cartel's basket price shed 0.77 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Friday.
OPEC's 12 member countries produce over a third of global crude oil supplies.
