Bakielektrikshebeke JSC reduces energy purchase in May

In January-May, Bakielektrikshebeke (sales and distribution of electricity in Baku) bought more than 3.6 billion kilowatt-hours compared to 3.05 billion kilowatt hours in January -April from Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the regions of Azerbaijan), a statement said.

In 2009, "Bakielektrikshebeke" bought about 8.1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity from Azerenergy.

According to the report, the company bought 563.9 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in May compared to 662.8 million kilowatt-hours in April.

"Bakielektrikshebeke" must pay on average 83 percent in January-May for electricity from "Azerenergy" (the largest electricity producer in Azerbaijan). In May, the figure was 93 percent compared to 91 percent in April.

Amount of payment "Bakielektrikshebeke" in 2009 hit 84.44 percent.
