The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) climbed to 74.89 dollars early in the week, the group said Tuesday.
OPEC's basket price went up 1.07 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Monday, DPA reported.
The Vienna-based cartel produces over a third of the world's crude oil supplies.
