The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) rose to 72.79 dollars at the end of last week, the group said Monday.
OPEC-produced crude added 0.93 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Friday, DPA reported.
Overall, the cartel's basket price gained 3.16 dollars last week.
