Power cut plunges Georgia into dark

Major part of Georgia within 50 minutes was de-energized. As a result of the accident at the power transmission line "Kolkhida" there was no electricity in Eastern and Western Georgia, State Energy System of Georgia told Trend.

According to the information, such an accident hasn't took place for several years.

Metros suspended their activity and peoples had to get out of it through the tunnel. Also, the water turned off in major part of the city.

According to the preliminary data, the accident took place due to heavy heat, however, there is no accurate information.
