The International Energy Organization INOGATE will implement a technical assistance project worth 16.5 million euros in Georgia. The project will run three years.

Members of the Georgian parliamentary committee on industry economics and economic policy, Guranda Djabua and Zurab Kikaleishvili and members of the Committee Apparatus met with experts working on the project.

Project Manager Kevin McCain familiarized MPs with the main priorities and directions of the project. He said a technical assistance project consists of four main components, and it is envisaged the harmonization of the Georgian legislation with European standards during its implementation, as well as thematic trainings and workshops.

"At a meeting with representatives of the international energy organization, we discussed
further cooperation. We are interested to get acquainted with the international standards and their introduction in Georgia," Kikalishvili said after the meeting.
