BP Azerbaijan company plans to complete the processing of the data obtained as a result of three-dimensional geophysical studies on the prospective structure Shafaq-Asiman in 2013, Vice-president of BP-Azerbaijan for exploration and evaluation Greg Riley told journalists

"The first stage of the data processing has been completed and the second stage will be launched in the near future with plans to complete it during the next year" Riley said.

Riley added that three-dimensional geophysical studies were conducted from geophysical vessel Gilavar and Caspian Geophysical processes the research data.

He noted that according to the source data, the figures of the structure are good, and the company hopes that condensate field can be opened here.

As Riley said, the PSA contract, signed between BP and SOCAR, allows BP to enter the deepwater part of the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea for the first time.

He also noted that BP is holding discussions with SOCAR on equipment and technologies that can be applied during exploration drilling at perspective structure.
