Energy consumption in Georgia down by over 11 percent in July

In July 2013, electricity consumption in Georgia amounted to 788.4 million kilowatt / hours without losses. As the Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO) told Trend, it is 11.2 percent less than during the same period in 2012 (888.02 million kilowatt/hours).

In July 2013, electricity consumption in Georgia amounted to 788.4 million kilowatt / hours without losses. As the Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO) told Trend, it is 11.2 percent less than during the same period in 2012 (888.02 million kilowatt/hours).

According to the report, during the reporting period, electricity consumption in Georgia accounted for nearly 807.32 million kilowatt/hours, considering the losses.

In July 2013, direct consumers received 145.41 million kilowatt/hours of electricity, while the company power distributing companies - 642.98 million kilowatt/hours.

In July 2013, thermal power plants as well as seasonal and regulatory power stations of Georgia produced 786.26 million kilowatt/hours of electricity.

No electricity export-import operations were undertaken by Georgia over the reporting period.
