Azerbaijan will likely participate in the construction of small refineries in Afghanistan, Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev said during a meeting with the delegation led by Afghanistan's Minister of Mines Wahidullah Shahrani.
According to Aliyev, currently Afghanistan carries out good work on restoring its economy and Azerbaijan is ready to participate in these processes.
"Relations between the two countries should not be confined to trade. We should develop new spheres of cooperation and increase investments," Aliyev said.
The minister expressed his confidence that the ties between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan will be strengthened and expanded.
According to Shahrani, the volume of investments to Afghanistan has increased in recent years and the visit is very significant from this point of view.
The Afghan delegation will hold several meetings in Azerbaijan's state structures, including SOCAR .
