Oil and gas condensate production increased by 2.8 times for 10 years from 15.38 million tons in 2003 to 42.98 million tons in 2012 in Azerbaijan, the State Statistics Committee told Trend on Friday.
The volume of oil and condensate production amounted to 29.12 million tons in Azerbaijan in January-August 2013 or by one per cent less than the same period of 2012.
The bulk volume of oil and condensate production in Azerbaijan falls to the block Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli of oil and gas fields and gas condensate Shah Deniz field, developed jointly with foreign partners.
According to the State Committee, the volume of gas production (tank gas) in the country has increased by 3.4 times for 10 years from 5.13 billion cubic meters in 2003 to 17.24 billion cubic meters in 2012.
Tank gas production amounted to 11.7 billion cubic meters in January-August of this year compared to 11.41 billion cubic meters in January-August last year.
