In 2025 Kazakhstan will reach the maximum level of oil exports, Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Uzakbai Karabalin said, speaking at a government meeting in Astana on Tuesday.
"The maximum level of Kazakh oil exports, that is more than 90 million tons, is expected in 2025. At the same time minimising oil imports, as well as providing full domestic consumption will be achieved by the state in 2020," the minister said whilst presenting the project entitled 'Concepts of effective management of natural resources and the use of proceeds from the primary sector'.
According to him, as a major export route for the transportation of oil to foreign markets the projected pipelines are CPC, Atyrau-Samara, Kazakhstan - China.
