Turkey will tighten its fight against the use of smuggled fuel, Zaman newspaper reported.
According to the newspaper, as part of tightening measures against the use of smuggled fuel, Energy Market Regulatory Agency (EPDK) of Turkey banned 145 filling stations from trading for seven months.
The newspaper also reported that some 145 filling stations were fined to a total of 125 million lira.
The official exchange rate on November 4 is 2.0063 TRY/USD.
