Tengizchevroil produces record volumes of oil in Kazakhstan in 2013

In late 2013 the Tengizchevroil LLP produced about 27 million tons of oil in Kazakhstan, Oil and Gas Minister of Kazakhstan, Uzakbai Karabalin said on Monday.

He made the remarks at an expanded board meeting of the ministry, which was also attended by Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov.

"This is a record level of production in the company's history," he said.

The total taxes to the state budget in 20 years have exceeded $60 billion, including $11 billion in 2013, according to the ministry's stats.

Karabalin said 10.5 million tons of liquid hydrocarbons in stable equivalents and over 17 billion cubic meters of gas were produced at the Karachaganak field in late 2013.

He emphasized that at the moment works are underway on defining the variants of implementation of the project on future expansion at the Tengiz field, as well as, on organization of planning.
