By Emil Ismayilov - Trend:

Good weather conditions led to a decline in gas consumption volumes in Azerbaijan, SOCAR's Azerigaz production association told Trend on Feb. 13.

Azerigaz is engaged in the distribution and sale of natural gas to consumers in the territory of Azerbaijan.

Currently, the daily gas consumption in the country is 26.3 million cubic meters, while this figure was close to 30 million cubic meters in late January - early February, according to the association.

"Around 14.84 million cubic meters of the total consumption volume fell to Baku and about 11.52 million cubic meters to other parts of the country," Azerigaz reported.

Azerigaz supplied more than 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas to consumers in 2013. As of January 1, 2014, the number of consumers of Azerbaijani gas operator amounted to 1,647,906.

Some 1,628,076 consumers of the total number of consumers fall to the category of households, 19,830 consumers to other categories.
