In 2013 the costs of fulfilling the contracts and orders within the projects in Azerbaijan, which are operated by the British BP company, amounted to $2.25 billion, according to a report on the activity of BP in Azerbaijan in 2013.
Costs of contracts for small and medium-sized enterprises (including individuals, in total 403) totalled $835 million, the state-owned companies (38) - $ 175 million, joint ventures with local partners (13) - $533 million.
The costs of foreign contractors in the country last year amounted to $ 712 million.
Some $2.7 million were spent on the projects within the social responsibility during the past year.
In particular, within the project on development of Azerbaijani Azeri- Chirag-Guneshli offshore fields the expenses totaled $0.43 million, Shah Deniz gas and condensate field - $0.43 million, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines - $0.87 million.
BP, which is a party to all of these energy projects, spent nearly $1 million within its own social responsibility projects.
