Azerbaijan produced 7.4 tons of polyethylene in Azerbaijan in January, 2014 which is 11.3 percent more than in January 2013, told Trend in the State Statistical Committee told Trend on Feb.17.
Some 76,000 tons of polyethylene was produced in the country in 2013, which is 13.9 percent more than in 2012.
As the State Committee said, a decline was experienced in production of basic chemical products in January 2014.

Some 882.9 thousand tons of solid polyethylene pipes, tubes and hoses were produced in the country in January, which is 54.7 percent less than in January 2013. Also during this period, 58.5 tons of porous polyurethane plates and strips were produced in the republic, which is 6.4 percent more than in January last year.
