The platform is designed to drill 10 wells, according to a message from SOCAR.

It will be built on a request from the 'Absheronneft' oil-and-gas department of SOCAR.

The sea depth on the site where the platform will be installed is 8.5 to 9 meters.

SOCAR includes Azneft (production association of enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore) and Azerkimya (production association of chemical industry enterprises) and Azerigaz (production association dealing with gas distribution).

The company also includes a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises and institutions dealing with geophysical and drilling operations.
