Participant companies of tender for purchase of pipes for TANAP project announced

The consortium of the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) project has accepted the bids of around 15 companies for participating in the tender for the production and supply of pipes, Turkey's HaberTürk TV channel reported on April 19.

The following companies presented their bids for participating in the tender: Alsim Alarko Sanayi A.Ş. - Techno Eng. Services (pvt.) Ltd - Atayol İnşaat A.Ş, Bonatti S.p.A,Consolidated Contracting Engineering & Procurement S.A.L. (Offshore), "Fernas İnşaat A.Ş, KazStroyService OGCC JSC - Akfel Petrol ve Doğalgaz Müh. A.Ş, Max Streicher GmbH & Co, PPS Pipeline Systems GmbH - Habau GmbH - Özaltın İnşaat Tic. ve San. A.Ş, Punj Lloyd Ltd. - Limak İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş, Saipem S.p.A, Sicim S.p.A. - Yüksel İnşaat A.Ş. - Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC, Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation, Spie Capag, Techint Compagnia Tecnica Internazionale S.p.A. (Techint E&C Europe), Tekfen İnşaat ve Tesisat A.Ş and Zakhem International Construction Ltd - STFA İnşaat A.Ş. - Larsen & Toubro Ltd".

TANAP consortium announced a tender in July 2013 for the production and delivery of pipes of some 48 and 56 inches with inner and outer coating.

The TANAP project envisages gas transportation from the Shah Deniz field to Europe via Turkey.

The initial capacity is expected to reach 16 billion cubic meters per year. Around six billion cubic meters will be delivered to Turkey and the rest to Europe. It can be extended to 31 billion cubic meters in the future.

The share distribution among TANAP project participants is as follows: Turkey (20 percent) and Azerbaijan (80 percent). After the process of BP's equity acquiring in TANAP project is over in 2014, the shares in the project will be distributed as follows: SOCAR (operator) - 68 percent , Botas (Turkish state pipeline company) - 20 percent and BP - 12 percent.
