Kazakhstan ups oil and gas condensate export

Kazakhstan increased oil and gas condensate export by 22 percent to 20.383 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2014 compared to the same period of 2013, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh Statistics Agency.

Oil and gas condensate export in monetary terms increased by 20.7 percent to $16.690 billion in the reporting period.

Kazakhstan exported 1.072 million tonnes of oil products (5.3 percent increase) worth $637.6 million (4.5 percent increase) in January- March 2014. Meanwhile oil products import decreased by 9.6 percent to 541,000 tonnes worth $340.6 million (14.8 percent decrease) in this period.

Natural gas export decreased by 1.4 percent to 5.167 billion cubic meters in the reporting period. Natural gas exports in monetary terms decreased by 13.7 percent to $485.9 million. Meanwhile natural gas import hit 1.614 billion cubic meters (8.5 percent decrease) worth $121.7 million (28.9 percent decrease).

Kazakhstan's oil and gas condensate production decreased by 2 percent to 20.188 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2014 compared to the same period of 2013. Natural gas production has decreased by 0.7 percent to 10.79 billion cubic meters.
